How being late saved you 6%

We started selling SUPIMA® Cotton T-shirts since October 2017. In importing our finished goods from Thailand, we were subjected to 6% GST, which added on to our total cost. As a young start up, we have not accumulated sufficient sales to qualify as a GST registrant. Hence, we couldn’t claim back the GST as input tax.

In spite of that, we made a decision to not include the additional 6% in our price. We were determined to bring you quality wardrobe essentials of the finest cotton in the world, made to the highest standards at no crazy markups.

Most of our stocks were sold out since February and a new batch of goods was scheduled to arrive at our shores in May. The new Malaysian government then announced the implementation of 0% GST from 1st June 2018 onwards. In order to save on GST, we decided to delay the import of our stocks to June.

We never collected GST, and believe that the additional savings should be passed on to you, our customers who believed in us. Hence, our prices are reduced by 6% storewide.  

Staying true to our brand belief, which is selling high quality, timeless wardrobe basics made with the world’s finest fabrics at no crazy mark ups, we will continue to take every opportunity to reward our customers.
